Popular reality show Bigg Boss is set to return with its 20th season on 6 September, with Salman Khan once again taking on hosting duties.
As speculation grows over the celebrity lineup, Bengali actress Mouni Roy has emerged as one of the potential contestants, according to a report by Times of India.
According to BBTrek, the makers of Bigg Boss 20 have approached Mouni with an offer to participate in the show, reportedly including a substantial fee.
However, there has been no official confirmation on whether the actress has accepted the offer.
News of Mouni’s possible participation has already sparked discussion on social media.
Many viewers believe her presence could add to the show’s appeal given her popularity.
Besides Mouni, names including Mahi Vij, Geeta Basra, Sunil Pal and Shoaib Chakraborty have reportedly surfaced as potential contestants.
The makers are also said to have approached Elnaaz Norouzi and Mary Kom.
Meanwhile, the first promo for the new season has been released, teasing a new concept involving an “extra life” and Salman’s trademark “Tathastu”.
Salman has hinted that Bigg Boss 20 will not simply change the game but also change the way the game is played.
The actor suggested that the new “life” concept may not be as straightforward as it sounds.
How the new rule will work remains to be seen when Bigg Boss 20 premieres on 6 September.
