The ban on tourist visits to Bandarban has been extended by another two days due to persistent rainfall and adverse weather conditions.
The Bandarban district administration announced the extension through a public notice issued on Wednesday evening.
The notice, signed by Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Samiul Ferdous, said tourists would not be allowed to visit any tourist spots in the district until Sunday, July 12, as heavy rainfall and unfavourable weather conditions continue.
Earlier on July 6, the administration imposed a temporary ban on tourist travel to all tourist destinations in Bandarban until Friday, July 10, to avoid risks amid worsening flood conditions.
Authorities said the restriction would remain in place until the weather situation improves.
