The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has announced a reduction in gold prices in the domestic market ahead of Eid, cutting the price of 22-carat gold by Tk2,158 per bhori.

In a notification issued on Saturday morning, BAJUS fixed the new price of 22-carat gold at Tk2,35,963 per bhori, which came into effect from 10am on the same day.

The organisation said the price adjustment was made following a decline in the local market price of refined gold (tejabi gold).
