Southeast Bank PLC posted a sharp rise in first-quarter earnings and a turnaround in cash flow, supported by higher investment income and stronger deposit mobilisation.

The bank said in its unaudited disclosure that consolidated earnings per share rose 147.50 per cent to Tk0.99 in January–March 2026, from Tk0.40 a year earlier.

Consolidated net operating cash flow per share turned positive to Tk16.14 from negative Tk1.55, driven by improved deposits from customers and other banks.

Consolidated net asset value per share increased 10.65 per cent to Tk26.49 as of 31 March, from Tk23.94 a year earlier.

The earnings growth was supported by higher income from government securities and lower provisioning against loans, advances and investments.
