20th Century Studios has unveiled a new trailer for ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’, giving audiences a first listen to the original track ‘Runway’, performed by Lady Gaga and Doechii. The upbeat dance number underscores the trailer, setting the tone for the highly anticipated sequel.
The film follows Meryl Streep’s Miranda Priestly as she navigates the decline of print media while attempting to retain Runway magazine’s influence. Emily Blunt returns as Priestly’s former assistant, now a luxury industry executive controlling the advertising revenue Priestly needs to survive.
Gaga, who previously praised Doechii for her lyrical audacity and emotional precision in British Vogue, also appears in the film. She shot her scenes during her ‘Mayhem Ball’ Tour, marking her first major big-screen role since ‘Joker: Folie à Deux‘, alongside a cameo in Netflix’s Wednesday.
Based on Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel, the Devil Wears Prada story follows aspiring journalist Andrea Sachs (Anne Hathaway) as she confronts the demands and exacting standards of Priestly at the heart of New York’s glossy fashion world.
