The Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI), a leading representative of the private sector, has congratulated the BNP on its landslide victory in the 13th National Parliamentary Election held on 12 February 2026 and on forming the new government.
The chamber said the election enabled voters to choose their representatives, who it believes can help steer Bangladesh towards a developed, prosperous and democratic future through effective leadership.
In a press release, the DCCI urged the new government to adopt priority-based measures for rapid economic recovery and ensure swift implementation.
It said elected representatives have a crucial role in addressing existing economic challenges and taking timely corrective action.
The chamber also called for the urgent removal of constraints facing the industrial and commercial sectors and expressed its willingness to work closely with the government to advance economic development.
