Jamaat-e-Islami, Bangladesh Ameer Shafiqur Rahman, has urged the public to disregard election-related propaganda and exercise their right to vote without fear.

In a post shared on his verified Facebook page on Wednesday, Shafiqur stated that a specific group is spreading misinformation because they are intimidated by the party’s increasing popularity and public support.

He alleged that these efforts are a deliberate attempt to mislead voters as the nation prepares for a fair, neutral, and acceptable election. He requested the public to refrain from giving any importance to such propaganda.

Addressing the nation, the Jamaat chief described voting as both a right and a sacred duty. He encouraged citizens to cast their ballots for their preferred candidates and symbols, noting that this is what the entire country expects.

Rahman further emphasised the necessity of active voter participation to maintain a fair electoral environment and to ensure the success of the democratic process.

He concluded his message by seeking the assistance of Almighty Allah and expressing his solidarity with the people.
