Gas consumers will face severe low pressure for 21 hours from Thursday night due to pipeline replacement work, Titas Gas authorities said in a press release.
In a notice, Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd said it will replace a damaged 20-inch diameter transmission gas pipeline crossing the Shitalakkhya River and running through the Adamjee Export Processing Zone.
The work will begin at 10pm on Thursdayand continue until 7pm on Friday.
During this period, all categories of consumers on the western bank of the Shitalakkhya River, including Narayanganj, Panchabati, Muktarpur, Munshiganj, Jinjira and Shyampur (BSCIC) areas, will experience severe low gas pressure at their premises.
Titas Gas also warned that gas supply disruptions may occur in some surrounding areas.
The authorities expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience caused to consumers.
