Eyewitnesses reported that the clash took place at Shihachor Hajibari Mor around 3 pm, between supporters of Yunus Master, president of the Fatullah Tati Dal, and former Kutubpur Union Jubo Dal president Zainal Abedin.
The two factions have been involved in a long-standing dispute over local influence, including control over factory waste, land issues, drug trafficking, extortion, and overall dominance in the area. The confrontation lasted for 15–20 minutes, resulting in ten injuries.
Following the clash, joint forces arrested Zainal Abedin, Mehedi Hasan Dolon (former district Chhatra Dal organizational secretary), and several others, including Akash, Juel, Riazul, Rajib, Jihad, and Rashid. Yunus Master, however, managed to flee during the incident.
The joint forces also seized hemp, heroin, and parts of exploded bombs from the arrested suspects.
Fatullah Model Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Mannan confirmed the incident and stated that the case has been reported to senior officials. Further updates will follow as investigations continue.
