The Yonex-Sunrise Bangladesh International Series closed with control, courage and clear thinking on Friday. The final day at the Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium rewarded players who trusted their patterns under pressure.
The women’s doubles final swung on momentum and nerve. Thailand’s Thitiwarada and Sarisa Janpeng absorbed pressure, reset quickly and trusted their defensive shape to see off Malaysia’s Gan Min Yee and Tan Zhing Hui 21-13, 17-21, 21-17.
The Thai pair won because they refused to rush. They slowed rallies when Malaysia tried to speed things up, forced extra shots and waited for errors. That patience decided the third game.
Malaysia fought back hard in the second game by attacking the mid-court and dragging the Thais wide. The response came through sharper positioning and cleaner lifts that shut down angles late on.
The women’s singles final told a different story. India’s Tanvi Reddy imposed herself early and never loosened her grip, beating Malaysia’s Lim Zhi Shin 21-19, 21-9.

Reddy played with authority and purpose. She controlled the length of the court, pinned Lim deep and forced short returns that invited the kill. Once she smelled doubt, she pressed harder.
Lim battled well in the opening game but failed to adjust. Reddy read the patterns, stepped in quicker and turned defence into attack with ease.
