Members of the Border Guard Bangladesh have been deployed at key locations in Dhaka, including the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, to maintain order ahead of the return of Tarique Rahman.
According to BGB headquarters, several platoons have been stationed at the 300 Feet area, where a reception is planned for Tarique Rahman, and in Gulshan, where he is scheduled to stay.
A BGB dog squad has also been deployed at the VIP terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, through which Tarique Rahman is expected to exit the airport.
Meanwhile, BNP senior leaders, including Salahuddin Ahmed and Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, arrived at the airport to welcome Tarique Rahman.
The 300 Feet area has seen a large gathering as party leaders and activists from different parts of the country have assembled there ahead of his arrival.
