The 14th death anniversary of Al-Hajj AM Sirajul Islam, an organiser of the Liberation War in 1971 and a former joint secretary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh (East Pakistan Civil Service, Admin Cadre, ’61 Batch), was being observed on Saturday (13 December).
To mark the occasion, prayers and Quran Khawani was arranged at the Baunia Turag Tongi Madrasa & Orphanage, the Uttara Sector 4 Graveyard Mosque, his residence, and at his native village in Begumganj, Noakhali.
His family has requested well-wishers and relatives to pray for the salvation of the departed soul of this devoted patriot.
