The German Development Bank KfW has completed its progress review mission on the Climate Resilient Infrastructure Mainstreaming (CRIMP) Project of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) and its affiliated Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Center (CREeIC) .
According to a press release that the mission ran from 22 to 27 November and assessed the ongoing activities under CRIMP and CReLIC.
KfW Portfolio Manager Johannes Hengst led the mission, joined by Technical Expert Peter Rooney and Portfolio Coordinator for urban development S K Touhidur Rahman. From 22 to 24 November the team visited Satkhira to inspect field-level development work.
The press release said the mission held a meeting on 25 November with LGED Chief Engineer Javed Karim to review project operations.
On 26 November the delegation met officials of the Local Government Division, the Economic Relations Division and German development agency GIZ to discuss CReLIC’s progress and future scope.
The mission concluded on 27 November with an exchange meeting involving LGED officials and consultants.
Additional Chief Engineer for urban management and acting CReLIC director Md Shahanur attended the session.
LGED was represented by CRIMP Project Director Md Abdul Khalek, CReLIC Executive Engineer Md Latif Hossain, Senior Assistant Engineer Fatema Ismat Ara, Assistant Engineers Arpon Pal and Afifa Sultana Pritul, along with project consultants, the release added.
