The Ministry of Public Administration has dismissed three executive magistrates (assistant commissioners) who were receiving basic training.
A notification regarding this matter was issued by the ministry on Wednesday.
The three are Kazi Arifur Rahman, assistant commissioner at Faridpur District Administrator’s Office; Anup Kumar Biswas, assistant commissioner at the Bogura District Administrator’s Office; and Nabomita Sarkar, assistant commissioner at the Pirojpur District Administrator’s Office.
According to the notification, the probationary assistant commissioners of the 43rd batch of the BCS (Administration) Cadre are hereby removed from government service under Section 6(2)(a) of the BCS Recruitment Rules, 1981.
In this context, if there is any government financial claim against them during their service period, it shall be recoverable under the Public Demands Recovery Act, 1913, it said.
However, the notification did not mention any reason for the dismissal of these three executive magistrates.
According to Rule 6(2)(a), if a probationer is considered unfit to remain in the relevant service during the probationary period, the government may, without consulting the PSC, terminate the appointment in the case of a direct appointment.
Earlier on 22 October, another notification from the ministry had dismissed four probationary Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) from the 43rd BCS police cadre. They were Sher Shah, Shobhon Kumar Biswas, Raushan Jamil, and Ashfaq Ferdous.
