The government has nominated nine distinguished individuals and one organisation for the prestigious Ekushey Padak 2026 in recognition of their outstanding contributions to various fields.
According to a press release issued by the ceremony branch of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, the following individuals and groups have been selected for the award –
Farida Akhtar Babita (Acting), Md Abdus Sattar (Fine Arts), Marina Tabassum (Architecture), Ayub Bachchu (posthumous) (Music), Arthi Ahmed (Dance), Islam Uddin Palakar (Pala Gaan), Shafik Rehman (Journalism), Mahbubul Alam Majumdar (Education), and Tejosh Halder Josh (Sculpture).
Additionally, Warfaze has been selected for the award in music category.
