A total of 68 more dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in the past 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The latest figures show that 38 of the new patients were reported from Barishal Division outside city corporation areas. Six cases were recorded in Chattogram Division, while three were reported from Dhaka Division outside city corporation areas.
Dhaka North City Corporation recorded three new cases and Dhaka South City Corporation reported 11. Two patients were admitted in Mymensingh Division, three in Rajshahi Division and two in Sylhet Division.
During the same period, 65 dengue patients recovered and left hospitals. With the latest recoveries, the total number of patients discharged after recovery this year has reached 3,607.
DGHS data show that the number of dengue cases recorded nationwide this year has risen to 3,844. Of the total patients, 63.2 per cent are male and 36.8 per cent are female.
No new deaths from the mosquito-borne disease were reported in the past 24 hours. As a result, the death toll from dengue remained unchanged at six this year.
According to the DGHS, Bangladesh recorded 102,861 dengue cases and 413 deaths in 2025.
In 2024, the country reported 101,214 dengue infections and 575 deaths from the disease.
