Five more dengue deaths were recorded in the 24 hours to Sunday morning, taking this year’s toll in Bangladesh to 382.
In the same period, 636 new patients were hospitalised, bringing the total number of dengue cases this year to 94,402, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The latest deaths were reported in the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), Chattogram and Khulna divisions.
At present, 1,995 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
During the same period last year, dengue had claimed 575 lives, with 101,214 cases and 100,040 recoveries.
