Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 460 people and filed 49 cases during its routine anti-narcotics drives conducted across the capital in the last 24 hours.
According to the DMP, 39 from Ramna, 33 from Lalbagh, 57 from Wari, 56 from Motijheel, 62 from Tejgaon, 126 from Mirpur, 34 from Gulshan, and 47 from Uttara.
The Detective Branch (DB) of DMP arrested six more people.
During these operations, police seized 12,084 pieces of Yaba, 120 grams of hemp, 100 bottles of Eskuf syrup, and Tk4,800 in cash from the possession of the accused.
The DMP said police arrested the people during raids across different police station areas in the capital while recovering narcotics.
Legal proceedings against the arrested people are underway.
