Nurul Islam, chief whip of the 13th National Parliament, said that 44 ordinances have so far been passed.
The chief whip added that 133 ordinances issued during the tenure of the interim government will be resolved by Friday.
He noted that there is a specific timeframe for resolving the ordinances, and therefore, the parliament may also sit on Friday if necessary.
He made the remarks on Wednesday during a break in the first session of the 13th Parliament.
Nurul Islam further pointed out irregularities in the Parliament’s sound system, saying that those who won the tender outsourced the work to others.
“They will be brought under the law. No one will be spared for any injustice or irregularity,” he said.
