The government has ordered the transfer of 39 senior police officers, including 30 DIGs in a major reshuffle.
The transfers were formalised through two separate notifications signed by Md Mahbubur Rahman, deputy secretary of the Police branch-1 of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Among those transferred are 30 officers recently promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG), along with 4 Additional DIGs and 5 Superintendents of Police (SPs).
The notification states that the written order, issued in the public interest, will take effect immediately.
