Around 280 Bangladeshi nationals are scheduled to return home from Iran early Saturday amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East triggered by US-Israel attacks.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the returnees are expected to arrive in Dhaka at approximately 1:30am.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaid Islam is expected to be present at the airport to receive them upon arrival.
The repatriation comes as tensions continue to escalate across the region, prompting efforts to ensure the safety of Bangladeshi citizens abroad.
