Two crude bombs exploded inside St Joseph Higher Secondary School compound in Mohammadpur area of Dhaka early Saturday.
No one was injured, police said.
Following the incident, a general diary (GD) has been filed with Mohammadpur Police Station.
The incident took place around 3am on Saturday near the school’s third gate, Kazi Rafiqul Ahmed, officer-in-charge (OC) of Mohammadpur Police Station, told TIMES of Bangladesh.
Due to a power outage during the incident, no one could be identified from the CCTV footage, the OC said.
He further mentioned that initial findings indicate some unidentified individuals may have come on a motorcycle, hurled the explosives, and fled the scene.
“An investigation into the incident is now underway,” he added.
Earlier, miscreants exploded a crude bomb at the main gate of St Mary’s Cathedral Church in Dhaka’s Kakrail area around 11pm on Friday.
Earlier on 8 October, two bombs were exploded by unidentified assailants at the main gate of Holy Rosary Church at Tejkunipara in Tejgaon. Two more unexploded bombs were found near the site.
