Primary and Mass Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon has issued strict directives to ensure the SSC and equivalent examinations 2026 are conducted fairly, transparently and on schedule.
The minister made the remarks during a high-level review meeting at the education ministry on Tuesday morning.
All education board chairmen and senior ministry officials attended the session. State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj were also present at the meeting.
Milon reviewed preparations for the upcoming exams and instructed authorities to re-inspect high-risk centres and update the lists accordingly. He reaffirmed a zero-tolerance stance against any form of malpractice and announced plans to enact laws to prevent cheating using digital devices.
He directed that thorough body searches of examinees be carried out at exam centres. Teachers were urged to take an active role in deterring misconduct. The minister also warned that uploading questions or related content on social media or online platforms during the exams would result in legal action.
Emphasising merit-based evaluation, the minister said, “The exam system must change to build a talent-driven nation. There will be no room for automatic passing.”
He stressed authentic assessment in practical exams, moving away from the practice of awarding average marks.
Milon further stated that even cheating in exam centre toilets would render the authorities of that centre accountable.
Nationwide motivational meetings will be held to strengthen anti-cheating measures.
He also outlined plans to establish district schools in areas where none currently exist. These schools will provide classes from grade one to twelve, following a higher secondary model, to create a more integrated and robust education system.
The meeting concluded with clear guidance to ensure the SSC and equivalent examinations 2026 are conducted properly and called on all responsible officials to execute their duties diligently.
