The Asian Champions League has changed its plan for the last 16. The games will now take place in Saudi Arabia.
The Asian Football Confederation made the decision on Tuesday. It said the matches will be played as single games instead of two legs.
The change comes after the war in the Middle East. The conflict began last month. It has affected football in the region. The East zone matches were played as planned. But four ties in the West zone were delayed.
Now, those matches will take place in Jeddah. They will be played on April 13 and 14. The games will be held at King Abdullah Sports City and Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City.
Saudi clubs Al Ittihad and Al Ahli will have home advantage. Al Ahli are also the current champions.
Iranian club Tractor are also in the last 16. They will face Shabab Al Ahli from the United Arab Emirates.
The final stage of the tournament will still be held in Jeddah. The dates remain April 16 to 25. The competition is now called the Asian Champions League Elite.
