Bangladesh national team cricketers are set to return to domestic action in the Walton Smart Fridge Dhaka Premier League as the tournament resumes with another key round ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.
The seventh round of the 50-over competition will be held on Saturday across six venues in Dhaka, with all 12 participating teams taking the field, organisers said in a press release.
The return of national team players comes shortly after Bangladesh’s successful Pakistan series and is expected to increase interest and competition in the country’s traditional domestic cricket tournament.
Organisers said the Dhaka Premier League continues to play an important role in the development of Bangladesh cricket and that the participation of national stars would further enhance the standard and appeal of the competition.
The current season has already produced closely contested matches and strong spectator interest, according to organisers.
Cricket fans are expecting more competitive fixtures before the Eid break, with leading national players set to bring additional excitement to the grounds.
The seventh-round fixtures are Abahani Limited versus Agrani Bank at ULAB, Mohammedan Sporting Club versus Gulshan Cricket Club at BKSP 4, Gazi Group Cricketers versus Legends of Rupganj in Mirpur, Prime Bank Cricket Club versus City Club at PKSP, Bashundhara Strikers versus Brothers Union at BKSP 3, and Rupganj Tigers Cricket Club versus Dhaka Leopards at Bashundhara.
All matches will begin at 9:00am.
The matches will be broadcast live on T Sports television channel and the T Sports YouTube platform.
