An attack, vandalism of CCTV cameras, and looting of cash occurred at the warehouse of AJR Courier Service, situated adjacent to Sikder Medical College in the capital’s Hazaribagh.
Products belonging to numerous customers were also looted during the incident, which took place on Tuesday evening.
Hazaribagh Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mosharraf Hossain said that police were alerted to the incident via National Emergency Service 999. Upon receiving the information, the police station’s Inspector (Investigation) and a mobile patrol unit arrived at the spot and brought the situation under control.
Police subsequently questioned personnel from AJR Courier Service and local residents, learning that the attack stemmed from a dispute over land ownership rental payments for the courier service.
Police are currently investigating the incident.
