Private carrier US-Bangla Airlines has resumed normal flight operations across all Middle East routes as regional conditions improve, restoring services disrupted since late February.
According to the airline, the disruption followed conflict in the Middle East from February 28, which affected schedules of international carriers, including US-Bangla.
Flights now operate to Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Doha, Riyadh and Jeddah.
The airline will resume the Dhaka–Doha route from Wednesday, with daily departures from Dhaka at 7:30pm and return flights leaving Doha at 11:30pm local time on the same day.
US-Bangla operates direct flights from Dhaka to Muscat, while return flights from Muscat land in Dhaka via Chattogram. Flights to Dubai operate via Chattogram.
The airline runs Abu Dhabi services six days a week except Thursday and Sharjah services four days a week.
In Saudi Arabia, flights to Riyadh operate five days a week on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday, while Jeddah services run three days a week on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Most Middle East routes are operated using Boeing 737-800 aircraft, while Riyadh and Jeddah routes use Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
The airline’s fleet comprises 25 aircraft, including three Airbus A330-300s and nine Boeing 737-800s.
The restoration is expected to ease travel for Bangladeshi expatriates and improve connectivity with key labour markets in the region.
The airline plans to expand its Middle East network further with new routes to Madinah and Dammam, it added.
