Unimart has launched its annual Pitha Utshob across all outlets, offering a wide range of traditional winter delicacies throughout January.

The retail chain said in a press statement that the festival brings together nearly 70 varieties of pitha, highlighting the diversity of Bengal’s winter food culture, the retail chain said in a press release.

The selection includes popular items such as bhapa, chitoi, puli, patishapta, semai and rosh pitha, alongside lesser-known regional delicacies including nakshi, golap, malpoa, pakon, shatiinmochor, jafrani malai roll and bibikhana.

For savoury preferences, chaler ruti served with hasher mangsho has also been added to the lineup, the company said.

The festival is running from January 1 to January 31 and is open daily from 9:00am to 10:00pm at all Unimart outlets in Dhaka, with the same arrangements available at Unimart Sylhet.

Pitha is an integral part of Bengali winter traditions, symbolising togetherness and seasonal celebration, and the initiative aims to give urban consumers easier access to traditional flavours in a familiar retail environment, according to the statement.
