United Kingdom-based Experience Clothing Company Limited has renewed its lease with Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) for another 30 years, extending operations at Dhaka Export Processing Zone (DEPZ).
The agreement was signed on Monday to ensure continuity of the company’s investment after completing 30 years of operations, BEPZA said in a press release.
BEPZA Executive Director for Investment Promotion Md Tanvir Hossain and Experience Clothing Company Director Zulfiquar Maqsood signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
The company has an actual investment of $15.16 million and employs 2,485 Bangladeshi nationals.
The renewal reflects continued confidence of foreign investors in Bangladesh’s investment environment, officials said.
Senior BEPZA officials attended the signing ceremony, along with the company’s Consultant and former BEPZA Member for Investment Promotion Zillur Rahman ndc.
