Universal College Bangladesh (UCBD), the exclusive partner of Monash University in Bangladesh, recently organised ‘Meet the Experts Behind the Excellence from Monash’, providing students with an opportunity to engage directly with academic experts from Monash University.
The visiting Monash delegation included Alphonsa Fidelis Pakiam, head of South Asia & Western Europe, International Marketing and Recruitment, Monash University, Australia; Daniel Lum, senior executive of International Recruitment and Development at Monash University Malaysia; Asha Balaji, recruitment and partnerships specialist for Monash Engineering; Justin Burnell, student recruitment manager for the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University Australia; and Azra Karim, in-country manager for Bangladesh.
The delegates held comprehensive discussions with UCBD faculty and leadership on academic excellence, global education standards and collaborative development, reads a press release.
A major highlight of the event was the exclusive one-to-one counselling sessions, during which Monash representatives provided tailored academic and career guidance to current UCBD students and prospective external candidates.
Highlighting the significance of the initiative, the senior leadership team of UCBD said, “Our partnership with Monash University enables us to bring world-class educational guidance directly to students in Bangladesh.
Hosting this delegation reflects our commitment to providing global exposure and creating clear pathways to academic excellence.”
Pakiam added, “We are delighted to connect directly with the talented students at UCBD. Providing prospective students with personalised academic counseling helps ensure they are well-prepared to navigate their international higher education journey successfully.”
Concluding the event, Kingshuk Gupta, COO, and Muhammad Ismail Hossain, Provost of UCBD, formally thanked the delegation for their invaluable insights and presented them with special UCBD souvenirs as a token of appreciation.
