Trust Bank PLC has signed a participation agreement with Bangladesh Bank (BB) under the central bank’s Tk41,000 crore refinancing package to support priority sectors, aiming to restart closed factories, support CMSMEs and create jobs.
The agreement was signed on 27 August at BB headquarters by Trust Bank Managing Director Ahsan Zaman Chowdhury and Trust Bank Treasury Head Zahurul Karim Chowdhury, said a press release on Tuesday.
BB Deputy Governors Kabir Ahmed and Sarwar Hossain attended the signing ceremony along with senior officials from the central bank.
The refinancing package provides affordable pre-finance and refinance facilities to support restarting closed factories, CMSMEs, agriculture, export diversification, regional economic hubs and employment generation.
