Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman worked at his Gulshan political office until early Sunday morning.
“On Saturday till 3am, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman stayed at his political office at Gulshan in the capital and carried out important official work of the party,” Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Rony said.
At that time, he said, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee members Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Nazrul Islam Khan, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, AZM Zahid Hossain and Selima Rahman were present at the office.
Rony said that Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman and other officials of the Gulshan office were also present.
Tarique has been interviews of candidates who submitted party nomination forms for reserved women seats in the 13th Jatiya Sangsad election.
Interviews of candidates from districts under Dhaka, Chattogram, Cumilla, Sylhet and Mymensingh organizational divisions started at the Gulshan political office from Saturday afternoon.
The process continued till late night.
