Met office on Saturday said southwest monsoon is prevailing over Bangladesh and is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderately active over north Bay of Bengal. “The well-marked low over Sherpur and adjoining Meghalaya weakended into a low-pressure area and became unimportant,” the met office observed.
Light to moderate rain or thunder showers with lightening flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy rain at places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions. Day and night temperature may rise by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius over the country.
