Southeast Bank PLC has completed full centralisation and automation of documentation and limit loading functions under its Credit Administration Division, the bank said in a press release.
Southeast Bank marked the completion at an internal event held on 28 January, focusing on operational readiness following the system overhaul.
According to Southeast Bank, the initiative brings all credit documentation and limit loading activities under a centralised and automated framework, replacing manual and branch-level processes.
The event was attended by Southeast Bank Chairman MA Kashem and Southeast Bank Managing Director and CEO Md Khalid Mahmood Khan, alongside additional managing directors, deputy managing directors, divisional heads and branch managers.
Credit Administration Division Head Kamrul Islam presented the division’s operational outcomes for 2025 during the programme.
Deputy Head of Credit Administration Division Khairul Anam Mohiuddin said the automation process involved restructuring workflows and migrating documentation and approvals to digital platforms, with the aim of reducing paper usage and improving turnaround time.
Bank officials said the centralised system is expected to standardise credit documentation, strengthen compliance controls and reduce operational risk across branches.
Southeast Bank said the automation initiative forms part of its broader efforts to streamline internal processes and support environmentally responsible banking practices.
