Nurul Hasan Sohan will travel to Sri Lanka on Thursday to represent Galle Gallants in the ongoing Lanka Premier League (LPL), according to a source close to the development.
Sohan is scheduled to leave Bangladesh on an 11:30am flight after being named as Litton Das’s replacement. Litton was ruled out of the LPL after suffering a calf strain during the final ODI of Bangladesh’s recent series against Australia.
Sohan, the wicketkeeper-batter has just returned from the Zimbabwe tour, where he played three ODIs and two T20Is. He scored 6, 31 and 38 in the ODIs, while making 3 and 4 in the two T20Is.
Galle Gallants signed Sohan as Litton’s replacement on July 14, and the Bangladesh Cricket Board has also granted him a full no-objection certificate (NOC) for the tournament. Sohan will join fellow Bangladesh international Mehidy Hasan Miraz at the franchise.
Galle Gallants currently sit top of the points table with four points, having won two of their three matches and lost one.
