SM Parvez has been appointed protocol officer-2 at the prime minister’s office on a contractual basis.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification in this regard on Thursday.
According to the notification, he must relinquish any other profession, business or employment in any government, semi-government or private organisation before assuming the post.
The appointment will take effect from the date of his joining and remain valid for the tenure of the prime minister or until the Prime Minister withdraws satisfaction, whichever comes first.
Other terms and conditions will be determined through a formal contract, it added.
