Six persons were arrested and sent to jail on Tuesday on charges of attacking police officer Al Amin in Adabar area of the capital.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court ordered detention of the accused in the case when they were produced before the court after their arrests.
The accused are Mizan Matbbar, Rina Begum, Mohammad Rabbi, Robiul Islam, Jewel Sardar and Shobuj Mia.
Sub-Inspector Mizanur Rahman of Adabar Police Station confirmed this information.
However, the court rejected the bail petition of the accused in the case.
They were arrested in Adabar area early on Tuesday.
A juvenile gang attacked police with sharp weapons on Monday. Police officer Al Amin was injured in the attack and was undergoing treatment in a hospital.
The policemen came under attack when they rushed to Shyamoli area where a man named Palash was abducted for ransom on the night of September 1. The assailants fled the scene after the arrival of additional policemen.
Following the incident, Sub-Inspector Ibrahim Khalil filed an attempted murder case on September 2.
