Popular actor Shewli Shila recently took part in the shooting of Rokter Bondhon, a serial made for a YouTube channel and directed by Megh Him. The shoot took place at a shooting house in Haldia Bazar, Munshiganj.
At the time, Shila’s father was seriously ill and undergoing treatment in hospital. Despite the personal hardship, she continued filming as she had an important role in the serial. She tried to spend time with her father before and after each day’s shoot.
Shila completed the production while coping with the difficult situation. She lost her father shortly afterwards. The actor had also lost her mother several years ago. Losing both parents has left her going through a deeply difficult period.
The first episode of Rokter Bondhon was released on YouTube two days ago and has already drawn a strong response. Hundreds of viewers have praised the story and performances in the comments.
Megh Him wrote the screenplay and directed the serial. Shila said everyone involved worked extremely hard, particularly because the shoot took place outside Dhaka.
“We all put in a great deal of effort and endured many difficulties while working on the serial. Since we had to shoot outside Dhaka, travelling every day was also challenging,” she said.
“Still, seeing the response after the first episode was released makes me very happy. I believed the serial would connect strongly with viewers, and it has. I sincerely thank and express my gratitude to director Megh Him bhai. He made the serial with great care,” Shila added.
