Bangladeshi expatriates remitted $1.42 billion in the first 13 days of September 2026, registering a 9.3 percent year-on-year growth, according to the latest data from Bangladesh Bank.

On 13 September alone, the country received $193 million in remittances.

During the same 13-day period in September 2025, Bangladesh fetched $1.306 billion in remittances.

Remittance inflows to Bangladesh reached $7.25 billion between 1 July and 13 September of the current fiscal year (FY27), registering a 16.9 percent year-on-year growth, according to the central bank data.

The country received $6.20 billion during the corresponding period of FY26.

The sustained increase in remittance inflows is providing a boost to the country’s foreign exchange reserves and helping strengthen its external financial position.
