Popular actress Sabnam Faria has voiced her frustration over the widespread closure of petrol stations across the country during the holy month of Ramadan, highlighting the difficulties faced by commuters and drivers.
In a recent social media post, Faria questioned the management of fuel distribution, particularly at a time when people are fasting and trying to manage work and travel. She noted that pumps on key routes, including the Sarail-Dhaka route, were unexpectedly closed, causing long queues and significant delays.
“Our regular petrol station in Mohakhali was closed on Thursday,” Sabnam Faria wrote. “People are fasting, working, and trying to get home on time, yet they are left stranded. There are reports that there is enough fuel in the country, so why are people being made to suffer?”
The actress’s post quickly gained traction online, with many sharing their own experiences of long waits and empty fuel stations. Commuters across the country have reported having to visit multiple stations without success, leading to frustration and delays.
