The physical condition of BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, who is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the capital, has significantly improved.

Doctors said his fever has subsided, and his breathing difficulties have eased considerably.

Sources close to the family confirmed that noticeable improvement has been observed in his health over the past two days.

His personal assistant, Arifur Rahman Tushar, who has been attending him round the clock, said Rizvi is feeling much better and continues to receive treatment as per doctors’ advice.

On Saturday morning, several BNP leaders visited him at Square Hospital in Dhaka.

Among them were BNP Chairperson’s Adviser and Member of Parliament from Senbag, Noakhali, Zainul Abedin Farroque; BNP Joint Secretary General and MP from Louhajang, Munshiganj, Abdus Salam Azad; and Dhaka District BNP President and MP from Dohar-Nawabganj, Khandaker Abu Ashfaq.

Rizvi was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday with breathing complications and fever.

On Wednesday night, BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman, visited the hospital to enquire about his condition.
