Malayalam singer and television personality Rimi Tomy is preparing to marry fitness trainer and bodybuilder Libin Mathew in an intimate church ceremony in Mumbai this month.

According to Times of India, the 43-year-old artiste confirmed the wedding in videos shared on her YouTube channel, where she also introduced her fiancé and opened up about how their relationship developed.

Libin, a Malayali based in Mumbai, works as a fitness trainer and also coaches Rimi. The singer said they first spoke over the phone on 10 March and met in person four days later.

Their conversations had already brought them closer, and they decided to get married soon after meeting.

Rimi described Libin as someone who brings her confidence, peace and positivity. She said she wanted a partner who would care for her rather than someone defined by fame or wealth.

The wedding will take place on 14 November at Mar Thoma Church in Dombivli, Mumbai. Rimi said the ceremony would be a simple affair attended by close family and friends, with no large gathering from the film industry.

She also plans to continue living in Kerala, although she may spend more time in Mumbai after the wedding.

The singer also requested people not to involve her former husband, businessman Royce Kizhakoodan, in reports about her upcoming marriage.

She said their separation was a mutual decision and urged social media users to stop sharing his photographs alongside wedding-related posts.

Known for her work as a playback singer, actress and television presenter, Rimi made her singing debut with ‘Chingamasam Vannu Chernnal’ from the 2002 Malayalam film ‘Meesa Madhavan’.

She later made her acting debut in Aashiq Abu’s anthology film ‘5 Sundarikal’ in 2013.
