The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) franchise Rajshahi Warriors has dedicated their official jersey to the late Osman Hadi, the spokesperson of Inquilab Mancha and a potential independent candidate for Dhaka-8, who was tragically killed in a shooting. The announcement was made on the franchise’s verified Facebook page today.
Hadi was shot on 12 December and rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition. After undergoing surgery, he was admitted to Evercare Hospital in Dhaka the same night. On 15 December, he was flown by air ambulance to Singapore for further treatment, where he passed away on 18 December. Today (Saturday), the nation observed mourning in his memory.
In tribute to his sacrifice and contribution, Rajshahi Warriors have decided to dedicate their jersey to Hadi. The franchise will not hold a formal jersey unveiling ceremony but will reveal the jersey on their official social media handles on 21 December 2025, respecting the expectations of fans. Posting a photo of Hadi, the franchise stated, “Kshanjonmo Warriors dedicate this jersey in the name of martyr Sharif Osman Hadi. His memory and ideals will always remain connected with Rajshahi Warriors.”
