Gono Odhikar Parishad President Nurul Haque Nur, has left Dhaka for Singapore to receive advanced medical treatment.
On Monday morning around 8:30, party leaders and activists saw him off at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
Gono Odhikar Parishad’s general secretary Rashed Khan confirmed the news.
In a press release on Sunday, Gono Odhikar Parishad stated that Nurul Haque Nur will travel to Singapore with government assistance to receive advanced medical care.
Nurul, along with general secretary Rashed Khan and at least 50 others, was seriously injured on the night of August 29 in a police baton charge in Bijoynagar, Dhaka, following an attack and vandalism at the National Party office.
Nurul was initially taken to Islami Bank Hospital in critical condition and later transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital that same night. After receiving treatment there for 18 days, he returned home on 15th September.
