NRB Bank PLC has signed a strategic agreement with Thailand’s Phyathai 2 Hospital Co Ltd to provide healthcare privileges and access to international medical services for the bank’s credit cardholders, employees and their eligible family members, the bank said in a press release.
The agreement was signed at NRB Bank’s corporate head office at Uday Sanz Tower in Gulshan 1, Dhaka, by Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Tarek Reaz Khan and Sorawong Siribunpan, International Marketing Director of Phyathai 2 Hospital and Phyathai Phaholyothin Hospital. Independent Director Ferdous Ara Begum attended the ceremony.
Under the partnership, NRB Bank credit cardholders, employees and their eligible family members will receive preferential healthcare benefits at Phyathai 2 International Hospital.
The benefits include a 10% discount on medication and a 10% discount on hospital room charges, excluding doctor’s fees and other non-applicable items.
Eligible patients will also receive complimentary transportation between their residence, airport, hotel and the hospital.
The hospital’s International Patient Centre will provide preliminary medical consultations, treatment planning, estimated treatment costs and an assessment of the expected length of stay at no charge.
The agreement also offers complimentary personal escort services and access to the International Lounge for patients receiving treatment under the partnership.
NRB Bank said the arrangement was designed to improve access to high-quality international healthcare while providing personalised medical coordination and patient support from the initial consultation through treatment and follow-up care.
NRB Bank Deputy Managing Directors Anwar Uddin and M Rashidul Huda attended the ceremony, along with Head of Cards Khaja Wasiullah and Head of Strategic Alliance Md Shafiqul Hassan.
Phyathai 2 Hospital representatives included Rawisara Sangsuwan, International Marketing Officer of Phyathai 2 Hospital and Phyathai Phaholyothin Hospital, and Suwadee Nima, Senior Manager of International Marketing 3 at the two hospitals. Other senior members of the management teams from both organisations were also present.
NRB Bank said the partnership reflected its commitment to expanding customer-focused lifestyle and healthcare benefits through agreements with reputable local and international institutions.
