Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has not given any leader the green signal for nomination, Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said on Tuesday.
He urged party activists not to be misled with any kind of propaganda regarding nomination ahead of the national polls.
Addressing a press conference at the BNP’s central office in Naya Paltan, Rizvi said a vested quarter is publishing names and spreading false information in the name of BNP nominations to confuse leaders and workers.
He added that the party will finalise candidates only after the election schedule is announced.
“At that time, Tarique Rahman will provide the list of candidates based on the people’s verdict,” he said.
Rizvi also alleged that “vested quarters are trying to rehabilitate fascists in the name of a fallen dictator by spreading propaganda against BNP.”
