National Citizen Party on Saturday urged the interim government to declare roadmap for the national election, alongside announcing the July charter and reform roadmaps. The party however, reiterated its position for local government elections before the national elections.
Leaders of the NCP placed these demands at a press conference at the party’s head office in Dhaka.
NCP convener Nahid Islam said, “Declaring the roadmap for reforms, elections, and announcing the July declaration together will create a relief among the political parties and the citizens.”
Referring to the list of 626 people published by the ISPR, he said that if this list of people that took refuge in the cantonment was published earlier, the army would not have to face negative criticisms.
