Popular young actress Mim Chowdhury has joined the cast of the television drama series Manage Master, beginning with its 200th episode.
Mim is currently busy primarily with single-episode dramas, frequently appearing opposite actors Mosharraf Karim and Tonmoy Sohel.
Due to her demanding schedule, she has been turning down several offers to work in television series.
However, she has now agreed to join Manage Master, a long-running RTV series written and directed by Sanjit Sarkar.
The series has been on air for nearly two years, and Mim made her debut in the show with its milestone 200th episode.
She plays the character Rimjhim.
Explaining her decision to join the series, Mim said, “To be honest, I have a very demanding schedule with single-episode and standalone dramas at the moment.
Most of the time, I have to work with either Mosharraf Karim bhai or Tanmoy Sohel, and I have to coordinate my schedule around them.
That makes it difficult for me to commit to a television series.”
She said she was already familiar with Sanjit Sarkar’s work and was drawn to both the story and her character.
“Sanjit da told me about the story of the series some time ago. I liked both the story and the character, which is why I decided to join. If I hadn’t liked it, I wouldn’t have joined a series after it had already completed 200 episodes,” she said.
Mim is currently working on her second shooting schedule for the series.
She praised the production team and the director’s approach.
“I really like how sincere and welcoming the entire unit is. Sanjit da is excellent both as a writer and a director. He is also a very down-to-earth person. I have been genuinely impressed by my experience working on Manage Master,” she said.
Manage Master airs on RTV from Friday to Monday at 10pm.
Alongside acting, Mim is also active as a television presenter.
She regularly hosts Global Television’s live music programme Global Music.
She also performs dance numbers on special occasions and holiday programmes.
Her recent notable single-episode dramas include Babar Shesh Upohar, Porakopali Bou and Oshikkhito Bhai.
