Last night, Ahsanullah Sharifi, Deputy Director (Public Relations) of MRT Line-6, said, “Metro rail operations have been halted after a jolt was felt in the Bijoy Sarani–Farmgate section.” However, he could not provide further details.

Metro rail staff involved in operations said a bearing pad fell off near Farmgate, the same spot where an earlier incident had occurred, causing the jolt around 9:10pm. They added that train services between Uttara and Agargaon continued as usual.
