An army truck was involved in a traffic accident in Birgram area of Bogura district on Thursday morning, leaving 13 army personnel injured – three of them critically.
The three-tonne capacity truck was going from Rajshahi Cantonment to Bogura Cantonment with the army soldiers aboard.
With the assistance of local residents, highway police, and fire service members, the injured soldiers were quickly rescued and rushed to Shaheed Zia Medical College Hospital in Bogura.
Later, one of the critically injured soldiers was airlifted to Dhaka Cantonment by an army helicopter for advanced treatment.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Army has expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the local community, highway police, and fire service for their rapid and humanitarian response, stating, “Their timely actions and cooperation made it possible to ensure immediate medical support for the injured personnel.”
